Easter Scrapbook Layout Ideas

When you think of Easter, what comes to mind? Fuzzy white bunnies. Soft pastel colored eggs. Candy. Chocolate eggs and bunnies.

Typically, this holiday brings to mind childlike things that are softly colored, warm and fuzzy, but that isn't the only way to view Easter. When creating an Easter scrapbook layout you can go with the more traditional colors and themes or you can get creative and think in a more non-traditional angle.

Traditional Easter Themes

Easter Scrapbook Layout 5

Go with pastel colors and Easter egg embellishments for your Easter scrapbook layout if you want something super sweet and adorable. You can find a wide variety of Easter egg stickers and other embellishments as well as soft pastel toned paper designed for Easter themes. It is very easy to put together an Easter scrapbook layout with the traditional pastel colors because virtually every scrapbook manufacturer puts out product just for this holiday.

If you enjoy creating your own embellishments from scratch, consider making a large Easter bunny paper piecing and placing it in an Easter scrapbook layout with a picture of your child dressed in their Easter best.

If you have a picture of your child sitting on the Easter bunny's lap, consider making a copy of it and then cutting your child out of the picture, close around the edges so you have a cut-out in your child's shape. You can then place that cut out on your paper piecing bunny's lap in your Easter scrapbook layout!

Traditional Easter themes and colors are great for smaller children and the first Easter egg hunt, but consider shaking it up and doing something non-traditional for older children.

Non-Traditional Easter Themes

Think about your child's personality or the personality of adults that you may want to capture in your Easter scrapbook layout. Now, how can you tweak the traditional pastel bunny theme of Easter to fit these personalities? If you think in new angles you can come up with some very unique Easter layout ideas.

For instance, consider some of my own ideas off the top of my head:

* Fuzzy black Easter bunny with silver and red embellishments for a gothic-styled teenager.

* Bright, bold colored Easter eggs with the color being washed away on a rainy day.

* Yellow chicks laughing and a silly-designed Easter bunny for pictures of an adult being silly or hunting for eggs with the kids.

Non-traditional Easter scrapbook layout ideas can represent your individual view of the world. They don't always have to be warm and fuzzy or feature pastel colors and cute little bunnies. Look at the pictures you have on hand for the holiday and think about the experiences you had through Easter. Then come up with your own themes that reflect your individual experiences.

You may end up creating traditional as well as non-traditional Easter scrapbook layouts. If you have children of different ages or want to feature children as well as adults or a wide variety of Easter events, don't hold yourself to one style or theme. Get creative and give each page its individual spark! The result will be a very diverse scrapbook album that is interesting for others to look at.

If you have children in the family, consider allowing them to help you create Easter scrapbook layout ideas. You will be amazed how children see the world around them, especially on a holiday like this.
