Pregnancy Scrapbook
However as time passes and you get busy with baby once it is born, many of these details begin to vanish. One great way to keep track of all of your precious memories and have a conversation piece to share with your little one as he grows is with a pregnancy scrapbook.
Creating a pregnancy scrapbook can be very fun and easy. It does not necessarily have to be elaborate but yet it should be personal. As with any other scrapbook, the materials used can be pictures, stickers, and embellishments. Consider some of these tips when thinking about creating a pregnancy scrapbook.
Use a lot of Words
There are not as many pictures to use before your baby is born as after. It helps to enclose a caption with each picture that you do have. It is also a fun idea to add a thought section to each page. You can type this or handwrite it. Try to keep the thought section consistent throughout the book by using the same type of paper or pasting it in the same location on the page. At the top, you can write: "What Mommy is Thinking..."
Begin at the Beginning
Start your pregnancy scrapbook from the moment you found out you were pregnant. Include what you were thinking and how you told others. Include the date you found out and the date of your first doctor's appointment. Include due date and other details you learn from your doctor.
Keep Track of the Weeks
At the top of each page, list the number of weeks of your pregnancy. Also include a picture of yourself periodically. This is a fun way to watch how your body changes throughout the pregnancy. In many cases, we do not realize how much we change in the mirror. Pictures are a sure way to gain an understanding of your pregnancy look. While some women may be hesitant, it is also fun to add in your weight gain.
Include Ultrasounds
Some women have numerous ultrasounds while others just have one or two. No matter how many ultrasounds you have, include a section in the book of pictures from them. Include the date, weeks of pregnancy, and any other information that you gain.
Boy or Girl
If you find out the gender of your baby, include a page that is dedicated to blue or pink. Include thoughts on how you and your family feel.
Capture the Baby Shower
If you have a baby shower, pictures from it are a must. Include a listing of gifts received.
Include Older Siblings
If this is not your first baby, then you should include siblings throughout the book. Use pictures of them and your belly. Use captions of their reactions to the pregnancy.
Ending Your Scrapbook
End your scrapbook with an introduction to the baby. Include a picture of the newborn, date born, and size.
Pregnancy scrapbooks are a great way to look back and cherish the moments of your pregnancy even after your little one is grown. Creating a section in it that reflects a journal of diary of your thoughts, carvings, energy levels, and such is one way that many mothers leave a little something behind for their children to learn about their journey of birth.

Text BoxThis is the same full width textbox as used on the main body column. However, it automatically resizes to fit the narrower column, as it isnt a fixed width. A pale background like this is ideal for putting testamonials in. |
