Stamping Scrapbooking

Are you someone who is addicted to rubber stamping and loves the look of stamping in scrapbooks but you are not sure how to get started, it can be a little intimidating.

I thought the same thing until I got started, but once I did get started, I was surprised at how easy it was! If you love the idea of stamping scrapbooking, you will discover that there are a number of different of things that you should keep in mind.

If you want to make sure that you are going to get some great results from the stamps that you adore, there are a couple of tips that you should definitely be aware of. Stamping Layout 1 In the first place, get to know your stamps. Before you do any stamping with your new stamps, get out a scrap of the paper that you are going to be using and make sure that you know how the stamp itself is going to act. Make sure that you use an acid free permanent ink pad; if you want your scrapbook to be something that your family or friends enjoy for years to come, this is something that you need to look into. Archival quality ink is essential! Do a few trial runs with the stamp. How does it line up and can you get good positioning from the image produced? To make sure that you are going to be getting the best and clearest image when you go to stamp something, remember to ink the stamp thoroughly. Tap the stamp on the inking pad firmly several times and make sure that you shift it and rotate it to get full coverage. Conversely, when you are putting the stamp on the paper, apply pressure unevenly and do not rock the stamp back and forth, as this can blur your image.

One good tip that people will tell you is that the first image that comes straight off the stamp itself is not necessarily the best one. The first image might have a fair amount of excess ink on it, and this can create an image that is blobby or blurred. Instead, stamp the first image on a scrap of paper to blot off the excess ink. Another way to get more control over how much ink goes onto the paper is to paint the ink onto the stamp with a brush. Experiment with the pressure and make sure that you figure out how you are going to be able to get the results that you need. If you want to get a good effect with your stamps and when you want to be absolutely sure about the images that end up in your scrapbook, you can make some lovely images on nice paper. Then cut the images out and decoupage them to your scrapbook or mat them in. This can be a great way to work on stamping scrapbooking if you have a love of the images but are concerned that you will stamp them crookedly.

Take some time to learn more about stamping scrapbooking. This can make an enormous impact on the way that your scrapbooks look!

Text Box

This is the same full width textbox as used on the main body column.

However, it automatically resizes to fit the narrower column, as it isnt a fixed width. A pale background like this is ideal for putting testamonials in.
